This decision comes after a lot of arguing in Congress about helping Ukraine. Biden says it’s important to act quickly to help Ukraine fight against Russia. However, the delay in getting the aid to Ukraine has already caused some problems. Biden said the first part of the aid will be sent to Ukraine soon, but it may take time for them to recover from the challenges they have faced.
They are going to give more weapons and support to help the Ukrainian soldiers who have been losing morale and battles against Russia. But it is uncertain if Ukraine can improve enough to keep getting help from America before they run out of money. The situation is not looking good for Ukraine, especially in the eastern part of the country. Russia is focusing on taking control of the second largest city in Ukraine, Kharkiv. Some politicians in America have been delaying giving aid to Ukraine because they are worried about losing support from certain members of their party.
